Wow! I know I am late to this thread; your post was made almost 2 years ago, but I will give my 2 cents, nonetheless. I know the dread of no see ums. We have them here in hordes. We call them sandflies, so if you ever come to Jamaica and say "no see ums are eating me alive" people would look at you weird. ahhahaha



But on a serious note, always travel with repellents. There are a variety of them on the market for no see ums, some even applying as a moisturizer. There's this huge rave about "Avon's Skin So Soft Bath Oil". I've personally never used it, but heard it keeps no see ums at bay for about 2 hours. I've also done extensive research on no see ums since they are horrible here, and this article really shows how you can stop no see ums from biting you in various scenarios.
